WMU gets past Toledo in OT; U-M women rally to beat NW

Connar Tava had 25 points and 11 rebounds as the Western Michigan Broncos came back to knock off the Toledo Rockets in overtime, 81-78.

David Brown finished the night with 20 points and Tucker Haymond added 11 points for Western Michigan.

The Broncos (12-5, 3-1 MAC) will remain on the road as they visit Miami (OH) to take on the RedHawks this Wednesday night at 7 pm.

The Michigan Wolverines trailed by as many as 13 points, but took the lead early in the 2nd half and held on for a 73-66 win over the Northwestern Wildcats at Welsh-Ryan Arena in Evanston, Illinois.

The Wolverines was led by the trio of senior Cyesha Goree (18 points & six rebounds), senior Shannon Smith (20 points, five rebounds, & four assists) and sophomore Siera Thompson (20 points, six assists, three rebounds, & two steals).

Up next for the Michigan women will be a trip to Iowa to face the Hawkeyes this Thursday night at 9 pm ET.
