DAY 5 - Lafayette wins Patriot League title vs. American, 65-63
Nick Lindner scored 25 points -- including two game-clinching free throws with 14.5 seconds left -- as the Lafayette Leopards held off several 2nd-half runs by American to beat the Eagles, 65-63, to become the 2015 Patriot League Champions.
#4 Lafayette (20-12), from Easton, Pennsylvania, became the lowest seed to win the league tournament title AND an automatic bid to the NCAA tournament in their 25-year history.
The Leopards last won a league championship in 2000 and were 0-4 in Patriot League finals prior to this season.
