Losing streak hits six as Tigers fall to Athletics, 6-1
Oakland's starting pitcher Sonny Gray struck out seven batters and allowed only two singles & a walk as the Athletics defeated the Detroit Tigers, 6-1.
Tigers starting pitcher Anibal Sanchez (3-7) allowed four runs, five hits, and four walks in seven innings. Miguel Cabrera helped Detroit avoid a shutout with an RBI double off Francisco Rodriguez in the 9th inning.
The Tigers will conclude their three-game series with Oakland at Comerica Park this Thursday afternoon at 1 pm.
