Tough night for Tigers as they fall to Cincinnati, 5-2
Todd Frazier and Jay Bruce ended an 18-inning scoreless streak with back-to-back homeruns in the 5th inning and Frazier homered again in the 7th inning to help the Cincinnati Reds defeat the Detroit Tigers, 5-2.
Tigers starting pitcher Kyle Ryan (1-1) took his first major league loss, giving up four runs in 6 & 1/3 innings while giving up five hits, with three of them being homeruns.
Detroit will finish off the last two games of their four-game series with the Reds in Cincinnati, beginning this Wednesday night at 7 pm.
