Tigers endure another shutout, 8-0, vs. Tampa Bay
Jake Odorizzi (7-8 ) held Detroit to six hits & a walk while striking out six batters to lead the Tampa Bay Rays to an 8-0 shutout win over the Tigers, who suffered their fifth shutout within a month's time.
Detroit's starting pitcher Kyle Lobstein (3-7) took the loss in his second start back from shoulder injury, giving up five runs, seven hits, and two walks in 5 & 2/3 innings.
Up next for the Tigers is a week-long road trip, starting with a stop in Cleveland to face the Indians in a four-game weekend series, which begins this Thursday night at 7 pm.
