Lions in disbelief as Seahawks deliver final blow, 13-10
Kam Chancellor knocked the ball free from Detroit's wide receiver Calvin Johnson at the 1-yard line when it appeared the Lions were going to take the lead, but it was the Seattle Seahawks that held on for a 13-10 win.
After the forced fumble, Seattle's K.J. Wright knocked the ball back out of the end zone for a touchback and Seattle regained possession of the ball at their own 20 yard line. However, after the game was over, the NFL's Vice President of Officiating Dean Blandino confirmed that Wright should have been called for illegally batting the ball out of the end zone. The penalty would have given the ball back to Detroit at Seattle's 1-yard line.
Still in search of their first victory, the Lions (0-4) will return home to Ford Field to take on the NFC West-leading Arizona Cardinals this Sunday afternoon at 4 pm.
