Royals & Blue Jays force Game 5; Cubs & Mets take 2-1 lead

The Kansas City Royals took advantage of Astros shortstop Carlos Correa's error as they rallied for five runs in the 8th inning to defeat Houston, 9-6, and force their ALDS to a decisive Game 5 in Kansas City, which will be this Wednesday night at 8 pm.




At 40 years old, R.A. Dickey had a six-run lead and was one out shy of qualifying for a win in his first postseason start as the Toronto Blue Jays went on to beat the Texas Rangers, 8-4, to force Game 5 at home in the ALDS this Wednesday afternoon at 4 pm.




Jorge Soler, Kris Bryant, and Kyle Schwarber hit homeruns as the Chicago Cubs set a postseason mark with six HRs to defeat the St. Louis Cardinals, 8-6, to take a 2-1 lead in the NLDS.  Cubs starting pitcher Jake Arrieta struck out nine batters before departing in the 6th inning, and the bullpen was able to finish the job in the first playoff game at Wrigley Field in seven years.  Chicago looks to wrap up the series with Game 4 this Tuesday afternoon at 4:30 pm




Curtis Granderson drove in five runs with two doubles off the wall and Travis d'Arnaud & Yoenis Cespedes homered as the New York Mets busted loose for a 13-7 victory over the Los Angeles Dodgers to take a 2-1 series lead in the NLDS.  Game 4 will be this Tuesday night at 8 pm.
