MSU women take down Loyola; U-M women fall to Princeton
Behind senior forward Akyah Taylor’s second double-double of the season, the Michigan State Spartans snapped a two-game losing streak with a 76-47 win over the Loyola Ramblers.
Taylor scored 15 points and added a game-high 11 rebounds. Junior guard Aerial Powers led MSU with 18 points and nine rebounds while senior Jasmine Hines tied a career-high with three blocks, as State had a season-high nine blocks.
The Spartans will pack their bags and head to Davidson to play the Wildcats this Wednesday night at 6 pm.
The Michigan Wolverines suffered their first loss of the season in a 74-57 loss to the Princeton Tigers on the road.
Sophomore Katelynn Flaherty led U-M with a game-high 33 points, but Michigan struggled offensively, shooting only 36% (20-for-56) from the floor.
The Wolverines will return home to Ann Arbor to host UCLA at the Crisler Center this Sunday afternoon at 2 pm.
