Lions shine in New Orleans on Monday night, 35-27
Matthew Stafford completed 22-of025 passes for 254 yards & three touchdowns as the Detroit Lions held off a late surge by New Orleans to defeat the Saints, 35-27, on Monday Night Football. At one point, the Lions led 28-3.
Ameer Abdullah & Joique Bell each scored a touchdown and rushed for more than 70 yards for Detroit, who won their first Monday night game on the road for the first time since 1994.
The Lions will play their last home game of the season at Ford Field against the San Francisco 49ers this Sunday afternoon at 1 pm.
