Road trip grows longer as Red Wings lose to Winnipeg, 4-1
Jacob Trouba scored twice as the Winnipeg Jets defeated the Detroit Red Wings, 4-1.
Pavel Datsyuk scored the only goal for Detroit on a powerplay in the 3rd period and starting goaltender Jimmy Howard was replaced in the 2nd period for the second consecutive start after allowing four goals on 14 shots. Howard was credited with the loss and fell to 7-5-4 on the season.
The Red Wings will end 2015 at home inside the Joe Louis Arena against their rival, Pittsburgh, on New Year's Eve (Thursday) at 6 pm.
