After further review twice, UDM women pull off win over NKU
The Detroit Titans rallied from 13 points down in the final minutes of the game to earn a 66-65 victory over the Horizon League's newest member, the Northern Kentucky Norse.
With Detroit in the lead in the final seconds, the ball went out of bounds as time expired. After the referees took a while to review the play, they determined that 0.2 seconds remained when they ball came out. Moments later, NKU's Rebecca Lyttle appeared to have tipped in the game winner at the buzzer. When the officials took a few more minutes reviewing that play, it was ruled that the play was a catch-and-shoot and thus, the basket could not count, giving UDM the win.
The Titans will remain home at Calihan Hall to take on their conference & in-state rival Oakland next Saturday afternoon at 1 pm.
