Prater saves Lions to secure 39-35 win over Colts in opener
After misses an extra point in the 4th quarter, Matt Prater redeemed himself by kicking a late 43-yard field goal to help the Detroit Lions earn a crazy 39-35 victory over the Indianapolis Colts.
Quarterback Matthew Stafford threw 31-of-39 passes for 340 yards with three touchdowns and no interceptions, despite the Colts' furious comeback in the 2nd half.
The Lions (1-0) will return home to Ford Field next Sunday to host the Tennessee Titans at 1 pm.
