UDM rival Butler uses "foul" play to stun Pitt

With under two seconds remaining in the game, crucial fouls were committed, the game clock had to be reset twice after reviews, & with a key free throw made by Matt Howard, who was Butler's hero in the 2nd round, the #8 Butler Bulldogs came through in the 3rd round to upset #1 Pittsburgh, 71-70. The Bulldogs enter the Sweet 16 for the 2nd year in a row & will face #4 Wisconsin on Thursday.

- #2 San Diego State fought hard to defeat #7 Temple in double overtime, 71-64.
