Western Michigan loses wild shootout with Toledo, 66-63

Terrance Owens threw for 318 yards and three touchdowns as the Toledo Rockets defeated the Western Michigan Broncos in a high-scoring affair, 66-63. Last week, the Rockets lost a shootout to Northern Illinois, 63-60.

Western Michigan’s Alex Carder threw seven touchdown passes & ran for another one, and yet it still wasn’t enough against the Rockets, who rushed for 419 yards.

The Broncos (5-5, 3-3 MAC) scored two touchdowns five minutes apart to tie it early in the fourth on Carder’s scoring run, but Toledo answered right back with two more touchdowns.
