Pistons end 2011 with 1st win of season vs. Pacers, 96-88
Before the clock struck midnight to ring in a new year, the Detroit Pistons earned their first victory in the fourth game of the season with a 96-88 win over the Indiana Pacers at the Palace.
The victory also snapped head coach Lawrence Frank's personal 20-game losing streak, which dates back to the final game of the 2008-09 season, when he was coaching the New Jersey Nets. He opened the following season with 16 losses before being fired, and then he saw the Pistons drop their first three of this season.
Jonas Jerebko led Detroit with 20 points and 12 rebounds.
