Wolverines fall short at Indiana, 73-71
A missed free throw by Verdall Jones II and a Stu Douglass three-pointer pulled Michigan within one with 2.9 seconds left, but that was as close as they got as the Wolverines lost to the Indiana Hoosiers, 73-71.
Tim Hardaway Jr. made a late push and played a strong second half to finish the game with 19 points, but the slow first half from him and Trey Burke caused the second half comeback to fall short.
Michigan dropped to 12-3 (2-1 Big Ten) while Indiana improved to 14-1 (2-1 Big Ten) to keep pace with Michigan State for the top spot in the conference.
