Kings blank Coyotes, 4-0 to take 2-0 lead in West Finals
The Los Angeles Kings took control of the Western Conference Finals with another dominating performance by shutting out the Phoenix Coyotes, 4-0 to match an NHL record with their seventh straight road playoff victory.
Jeff Carter scored three goals, Jonathan Quick stopped 24 shots, and Los Angeles will head back home to the Staples Center with a commanding 2-0 series lead after taking down the Coyotes in two games in Phoenix.
Game 3 is set for this Thursday night.
