Prince Fielder hit two homers and drove in four runs leading the Tigers to a 5-3 win over the Orioles.

Detroit's starter Justin Verlander pitched six innings allowing three runs and throwing 116 pitches. Down 3-1 the Tigers bounced back with a two run shot from Fielder in the sixth inning to tie the game at three.

The eighth inning Fielder once again come up and hit another two run shot deep to right field. Joaquin Benoit (2-3) pitched the eighth inning for the win. Jose Valverde got his 23rd save .

The Tigers now 1.5 games behind the White Sox for first place in the American League Central Division.
