Tigers fall back to Sox again after loss to CLeveland, 3-2

The Detroit Tigers lost a chance to gain ground on the AL Central Division lead after losing a hard-fought battle to Cleveland, 3-2. With the Chicago White Sox defeating Minnesota to bring their magic number down to 28, the Tigers once again fell back one game behind the Sox, but still have a chance to take back a share of the AL Central lead this Tuesday night against Cleveland.
AL EAST - The N.Y. Yankees' magic number remains at 28 after losing to Tampa Bay, while Baltimore defeated Toronto to move to within one game behind New York.
AL WEST - The Texas Rangers reduced their magic number to 25 after defeating Kansas City while Oakland lost 8-3 to the L.A. Angels
AL WILD CARD - Despite Oakland's loss to the Angels, both the A's and Baltimore remain the top two teams in the wild card race with a magic number of 27 while Tampa Bay remains in the hunt after defeating the N.Y. Yankees.
NL EAST - With both Washington & Atlanta winning, the Nationals reduced their magic number to 22.
NL CENTRAL - Cincinnati's magic number remains stuck at 19 with a loss to Philadelphia while St. Louis kept pace with a win over the N.Y. Mets, 5-4.
NL WEST - The San Francisco Giants brought their magic number down to 23 with a 9-8 win over Arizona while the L.A. Dodgers kept pace with a win over San Diego, 4-3.
NL WILD CARD - After their wins, Atlanta & St. Louis hold the magic number of 27, but trailing only a half game behind them are the L.A. Dodgers, who also earned a victory.
