The struggles continue as the Detroit Tigers lost their fourth straight game to the Chicago White Sox. The Sox now hold a 3-game lead in the division and reduced their magic number to 20. With three games left in this series this week, the Tigers look to break the slump and climb back atop the division, starting Tuesday night.

AL WEST - With a big win over the L.A. Angels, 3-1, Oakland are now three games behind Texas for the division lead. The idle Rangers currently have the magic number of 20.

NL EAST - After defeating the N.Y. Mets, 5-1, Washington improved their magic number to 15 with help from Atlanta, who lost to Milwaukee, 4-1.

NL CENTRAL - Cincinnati continues to make progess towards a division title with a 4-3 win over Pittsburgh. In combination with St. Louis' 11-3 loss to San Diego, the Reds dropped their magic number down to 12.

NL WEST - San Francisco stills holds the magic number of 17 in the division, despite losing 6-5 to Colorado.
