The #17 Michigan Wolverines used a balanced attack, earning touchdowns from eight different players, en route to a dominating 63-13 victory over the Massachusetts Minutemen at Michigan Stadium.

Senior quarterback Denard Robinson compiled 291 yards passing and 106 yards rushing. For the second consecutive game, Robinson totaled four touchdowns -- three through the air and one on the ground. Robinson also accounted for 366 total yards in the first half, a career best. Senior/junior running back Fitzgerald Toussaint added 85 yards and a score on the ground, while junior receiver Drew Dileo led the aerial attack with 91 yards on three catches.

The Michigan defense allowed only 259 total yards and surrendered just 13 points. Senior linebacker Brandin Hawthorne posted seven tackles, while senior/junior safeties Jordan Kovacs and Thomas Gordon each tallied six.

Everett Golson threw a touchdown pass and ran for a score in the first half to help the #20 Notre Dame Fighting Irish take down the #10 Michigan State Spartans, 20-3, in East Lansing under the lights. MSU had its worst showing on offense at home since losing 20-3 to Central Michigan in 1991. Andrew Maxwell was 23-of-45 for 187 yards and Le'Veon Bell had only 77 yards rushing on 19 carries for the Spartans.

The Eastern Michigan Eagles dropped to 0-3 on the season following a devastating 54-16 defeat at the hands of the Purdue Boilermakers in West Lafayette, Indiana. After struggling in the first two games of the season, the Eagles running game gained 169 yards and a touchdown. Senior tailback Dominique Sheerer led EMU with 73 yards on 12 carries. The offense as a whole managed 313 yards of offense. Senior quarterback Alex Gillett finished the game 9-of-15 passing for 66 yards to go along with the three interceptions, but still managed to move up the EMU career starts list and is now tied with Andy Schmidt with 30th career starts for the Eagles.

Western Michigan went back and forth with Minnesota, but a few key plays in the first half turned the game in the Golden Gophers favor as they held on for a 28-23 win over the Broncos in front of a near sellout crowd at TCF Bank Stadium in Minneapolis. Alex Carder went 24-for-44 for 209 yards with a touchdown and Dareyon Chance had a career day, carrying the ball 29 times for 144 yards, both career highs, and a six-yard touchdown run.
