Austin Jackson hit a lead off home run in the first inning, and Detroit was on its way. Delmon Young hit a three-run homer in the third inning to put Detroit up 6-0. Miguel Cabrera hit his 42nd home run of the year in the fourth inning tying him with Josh Hamilton for the league lead. Cabrera now leads the league in batting average .332, and RBI with 131.
