Lions back at .500 after big win vs. Jacksonville, 31-14
Calvin Johnson caught a game-high seven passes for 129 yards and helped open huge holes for running back Mikel Leshoure as the Detroit Lions dominated the Jacksonville Jaguars, 31-14, at EverBank Field.
Leshoure ran for 70 yards on 16 carries and became the first Lions running back to score three touchdowns in a game since James Stewart in 2000. Joique Bell added 73 yards rushing on 13 carries and scored on a 10-yard run with 2:42 to play.
Matthew Stafford completed 22-of-33 passes for 285 yards and became the second-fastest quarterback ever to reach 10,000 yards passing for his career. The 24-year-old did it in 37 games, one more than Kurt Warner. He's also the fourth youngest ever to accomplish the feat, behind Drew Bledsoe, Dan Marino, and Peyton Manning.
After a 1-3 start, the Lions have won three of their last four games to reach .500 at the midpoint of the season. They hold potential tiebreakers against fellow wild-card contenders Seattle and Philadelphia, and begin a crucial three-game stretch next week against the Minnesota Vikings.
