#3 U-M Outlasted #18 NC State 79-72 in the ACC Big Ten Challenge

#3 ranked Michigan Wolverines won their sixth straight game on Tuesday night defeating #18 North Carolina State in a close one 79-72. Trey Burke went scoreless in the first half for Michigan, but caught fire in the second finishing with 18 points and a career-high 11 assists without a turnover. Freshman Nik Stauskas led Michigan with 20 points and Tim Hardaway Jr. chipped in with 16. It was Burke though who set the tone dishing nine assists in the first half. NC State (4-2) trailed 73-58 before they went on a 10-0 run pulling to within five. The Wolfpack trailed 75-70 with under a minute to go. C.J. Wilson was called for an offensive foul which then stalled their comeback effort. T.J. Warren led the Wolfpack with 18 points. NC State shot 57 percent from the field in it's fifth straight loss in the ACC-Big Ten challenge. Michigan continued its stingy play committing 10 or fewer turnovers in five of its six games this season.
