WWE TLC 2010 RESULTS

INTERCONTINENTAL CHAMPIONSHIP - TRIPLE THREAT LADDER MATCH

As expected, many ladders of all sizes were used. The match was so intense that even Vicky Guerrero got involved, but sadly to most fans, she was not hurt. The phrase "It's better to be lucky than good" would best describe this match. The match concluded when Kofi Kingston & Jack Swagger unhooked the belt, but dropped the title on the mat. This resulted in Dolph Ziggler picking it up to be victorious. By rule, a superstar must unhook AND hold possession of the title in order to win the match. Therefore, Dolph Ziggler remains the Intercontinental champion.




1ST EVER DIVAS TAG TEAM TABLES MATCH

Lay-Cool was hesitant at first, but as the match went on, they seemed to overcome their fear of tables. During the match, Natalya did the unthinkable: slamming Layla on Michelle McCool and executing a double sharpshooter! As the match continued, Lay-Cool knocked down Beth Phoenix multiple times & tried to suplex Natalya onto the custom-made pink table, but Natalya pushed Lay-Cool off the ropes, causing them to bend the table. It took an extra splash off the ropes from Natalya to break the table, providing the win with her partner, Beth Phoenix.




BONUS MATCH: WWE TAG TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP - Santino Marella & Vladimir Kozlov vs. Nexus (Heath Slater & Justin Gabriel)

With the rest of Nexus at ringside, minus David Otunga, it didn't look good for the champs. But the antics of Nexus caught up to them as the referee disqualified them for outside interference. That didn't stop Nexus from doing what they do best. And to add to the misery, Wade Barrett came down with a chair and sent a message to John Cena for later on that night.




LADDER MATCH TO DETERMINE THE #1 CONTENDER FOR THE WWE CHAMPIONSHIP

John Morrison went through hell fighting Sheamus, as he endured countless attacks on his left knee. However, Morrison found enough will power to battle through & at one point, made Sheamus fall off one ladder & crash land on another. Even after that, Morrison was cunning enough to use the ladder & the ropes to his advantage, allowing him to grab the contract to make him the new #1 contender.




WWE CHAMPIONSHIP - TABLES MATCH

As expected Alex Riley got involved in the match, whether it was moving a table out of the way or distracting Randy Orton long enough for The Miz to take advantage. Controversy surrounded this match at the end when Orton powerbomb Riley through a table, only to be the victim of a skull crushing finale while the referee was out. Taking advantage, The Miz moved Riley off the broken table, put Orton in his place, & made the referee think the match was over. But after the replay was shown on the titantron, the ref restarted the match & Orton went on a rampage. After The Miz was thrown back into the ring, he pushed Riley into Orton, who fell through a table that was sitting outside the ring & the referee saw it. Thus The Miz escapes TLC still the WWE champion.




WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP - TABLES, LADDERS, & CHAIRS MATCH

As one would think, tables, ladders, & chairs were all over the place as the four superstars tore each other apart. Near the end, Rey Mysterio pushed Alberto Del Rio from the top of the ladder and took a nasty drop to the tables outside the ring. Soon after, Rey was tombstoned by Kane and eventually Edge speared Kane off the ring, making him fall to another table outside. Edge climbed the ladder & became a 10-time World Heavyweight Champion.




CHAIRS MATCH - Wade Barrett vs. John Cena

Earlier in the night, Cena attacked three members of Nexus in their locker room before smacking Husky Harris on the head with a chair as he was walking through a door. With the match now 1-on-1, Cena was free of distraction. Chairs everywhere were used, including an office chair! After Cena gained momentum, he stacked up 6 chairs and put Wade Barrett through them using the attitude adjustment. Despite the victory, Cena was not through yet. He slammed a pallet on Barrett and yanked a string of about 10 chairs from the titantron on top of him.
