U-M & MSU set for powerhouse games in Sweet 16
After the #4 Michigan Wolverines gave the #5 VCU a 78-53 beatdown Saturday, they learned the nexy day that they will face #1 Kansas, after the Jayhawks defeated #8 North Carolina, 70-58. The South Region semifinal is set for this Friday night at 7:30 pm at Cowboy Stadium in Arlington, Texas.
On the other side of the South bracket, #15 Florida Gulf Coast, once again, made it look easy in defeating #7 San Diego State, 81-71. They are the first 15-seed to ever make it to the Sweet 16 and will face their in-state neighbors in the #3 Florida Gators this Friday night at 10 pm.

In the Midwest Region, after knocking out #6 Memphis, 70-48, the #3 Michigan State Spartans learned Sunday that they will take on #2 Duke in the regional semifinals, after they defeated #7 Creighton, 66-50. The battle of arguably two of the greatest coaches in college basketball history in Tom Izzo and Mike Krzyzewski will square off this Friday night at 10 pm in Indianapolis, Indiana.
As for the other semifinal match, #1 Louisville will take on #12 Oregon this Friday at 7:15 pm.
