Michigan takes down Florida, 79-59, to enter Final Four
The #4 Michigan Wolverines punched its ticket to the 2013 Final Four by knocking out the #3 Florida Gators, 79-59, to capture the South Region title before 36,585 fans at Cowboy Stadium in Arlington, Texas.
Mitch McGary finished the day with 11 points & nine rebounds as Michigan was 19-of-37 in the first half, which included 7-of-11 from three-point range with five of them belonging to freshman Nik Stauskas.
The Wolverines are headed to Atlanta, Georgia and their opponent for Saturday’s semifinal game will be against Syracuse, also a No. 4 seed. It will be their first Final Four for U-M since the "Fab Five" days of 1993 and they will try to win their first title since 1989. The other semifinal game will feature #9 Wichita State against #1 Louisville, who crushed #2 Duke, 85-63.
