With the Super Bowl now over, Raw kicked things off with the return of the chairman, Mr. Vince McMahon, as he announced that there would be a special guest host for WrestleMania XXVII. Moments later, Randy Orton appeared and had a few choice words for new Nexus leader, CM Punk. Soon after, Punk showed up & revealed why he cost Orton the WWE Championship at the Royal Rumble: At the Unforgiven pay-per-view in 2008 when CM Punk was ready to defend his World Heavyweight Championship, Randy Orton, who then was the leader of the Legacy, assaulted Punk to the point that he had to forfeit the world title that night. CM Punk held that grudge against Orton for 2 1/2 years and sent Nexus to get his revenge. Orton tried to fight them all off, even gave Punk a bloody nose, but the humbers game caught up to him and was left flat on the mat after a GTS.

Nexus member Mason Ryan stuck around, for he had a match against R-Truth. Before the match began, R-Truth wanted to pump up the crowd so hard, after the Packers won the Super Bowl, that mistakenly said "Green Bay, Wisconsin" instead of Milwaukee. Naturally, it sparked a Milwaukee chant throughout the whole match. Mason Ryan had the match won with a unique leg submission, but because he wouldn't let go, the referee reversed the decision & awarded R-Truth with the victory via DQ. Afterwards, in the Nexus locker room, CM Punk applauded Mason's work and expected the rest to just simply hurt the other participants in the Elimination Chamber match.

Michael McGillicutty was next to try to injure John Morrison, but Morrison was too quick & talented to let that happen. At the conclusion of the match, Morrison nailed McGillicutty with starship pain to earn himself another victory. As Morrison was walking towards the back, CM Punk snuck up behind him and sprayed something in his eyes, followed by a straight kick to the head.

King Sheamus was supposed to face David Otunga, but before he could get in the ring, commentator Josh Matthews ran down to get a word from Sheamus after comments made by Mark Henry. Not initially knowing about Henry's comments, Sheamus joked about it and moved on with his match. As Otunga was walking down the aisle, Mark Henry came down and had an all-out brawl with Sheamus. Once Henry gained the upper, he took out Sheamus with the world's strongest slam, not once but twice.

Before John Cena could face CM Punk, Vicki Guerrero & Dolph Ziggler appeared and demanded respect, but shortly after, Cena & his fans ran the power couple out of the ring. Cena & Punk fought a tough match, but when the referee was warning Cena about using excessive force, he shrugged his shoulders & delivered a stiff low blow to CM Punk. As the rest of Nexus came down to confront Cena, Jerry Lawler got up & handed Cena a steel chair to clear the ring. Punk's mission was to hurt his Elimination Chamber opponents, but it was him who suffered the worst.
