Junior running back Jeremy Langford scored four times — three on the ground and one on a reception — as the Michigan State Spartans’ offense erupted for six offensive touchdowns in a 42-28 victory over the Indiana Hoosiers in their homecoming game. MSU outrushed Indiana, 238-92, thanks in part to Langford’s 109 yards on 23 carries.

After sitting on a touchdown lead with less than a minute left in regulation, the Michigan Wolveriens couldn’t hold on as they lost 43-40 to the Penn State Nittany Lions in four overtimes at Beaver Stadium. There were many chances for Michigan to win the game, including missing 3 of 4 game-winning field goal attempts at the end of regulation and in the first three overtimes, but in the 4th OT after Michigan kicked a 40-yard field goal to take a three-point lead, Penn State answered by driving for the game-winning touchdown, with tailback Bill Belton rushing it in from 2 yards out after U-M’s Jarrod Wilson committed pass interference on the play before.

The Broncos remain winless as they fall to 0-7 on the season (0-3 MAC). Wide receiver Corey Davis was the top offensive threat for the Broncos as he recorded eight catches for 92 yards and Dareyon Chance rushed nine times for 54 yards, including a long run of 21 yards in the first half.
