Just like old times as Red Wings take down Colorado, 4-2
Pavel Datsyuk & Johan Franzen each contributed two goals and Daniel Alfredsson had three assists as the Detroit Red Wings were victorious against the Colorado Avalanche, 4-2, at the Pepsi Center. Detroit's win ended the Avs' storybook start at six victories.
However, the Wings had to play without Niklas Kronwall, who left on a stretcher early in the 1st period after a hit from behind by Cody McLeod rendered him motionless. He was diagnosed with a mild concussion, but stayed with the team as they flew on to Phoenix, where they play Saturday.
Game time is set for 9 pm against the Coyotes, but many Red Wing fans, as well as the players, have already marked the date down for Thursday, March 6th when head coach Patrick Roy, Cody McLeod, & the Avalanche comes to the Joe Louis Arena.
