Pistons suffer 3rd loss in a row against Pelicans in OT, 111-106
Ryan Anderson’s two triples in overtime to go with his 22 points helped the New Orleans Pelicans (formely the Hornets) defeat the Detroit Pistons, 111-106. Despite Josh Smith’s two running jump hooks near the end of regulation that forced overtime, the Pistons suffered their third loss in a row.
Greg Monroe led the Pistons with 28 points & 10 rebounds, but was 2-for-7 night from the free-throw line. Bradon Jennings had 25 points & four assists and Rodney Stuckey scored 20 points after missing the previous two games with a sore knee. Andre Drummond also made an effort after finishing with 10 points & 11 rebounds.
In hopes of breaking the losing streak, the Pistons will return home to the Palace of Auburn Hills this Friday night at 7:30 pm to take on the Brooklyn Nets.
