Pistons extend Palace streak with 109-100 win over Spurs
Riding a two-game winning streak, followed by the sudden dismissal of head coach Maurice Cheeks, interim head coach John Loyer guided the 22-29 Detroit Pistons to a 109-100 victory over the 37-15 San Antonio Spurs to extend their Palace winning streak to five.
Led by Brandon Jennings’ 21 points and six assists, the Pistons ran to a 23-point lead in the 3rd quarter before settling for the nine-point victory.
To end the 1st half of the regular season before players head to New Orleans for the All-Star break, Detroit will host the Cleveland Cavaliers at the Palace of Auburn Hills this Wednesday night at 7:30 pm.
