Pistons fight off Knicks' rally for 1st win of season, 98-95
Greg Monroe had 23 points & 18 rebounds as the Detroit Pistons held off a furious rally against the New York Knicks, 98-95, for their first win of the season. Detroit led by as many as 18 points.
The Pistons (1-3) were saved by a display of accurate outside shooting, thanks to Kentavious Caldwell-Pope, who hit their first three attempts as Detroit ended up with a season-high of 11 3-pointers. Carmelo Anthony was held to only 13 points on 5-of-21 shooting for New York.
The Pistons will remain home at the Palace of Auburn Hills this Friday night when they host the Milwaukee Bucks at 7:30 pm.
