Panthers take down Cardinals; Ravens stun Steelers

The Carolina Panthers held the Arizona Cardinals to only 78 yards and forced three turnovers in a 27-16 win in the NFC Wild Card game. It's the franchise's first postseason victory in nine years and made history by recording the fewest yards ever allowed in an NFL postseason game.

Carolina's quarterback Cam Newton overcame two turnovers and threw for 198 yards & two touchdowns. Jonathan Stewart ran for 123 yards and a touchdown on a rain-soaked day in Charlotte.

The Panthers now await the result of the Detroit-Dallas wild card game to see if they'll be in Seattle next Saturday night or in Green Bay next Sunday afternoon.




Joe Flacco tossed two 2nd-half touchdowns as the Baltimroe Ravens pulled away on the road to defeat the Pittsburgh Steelers, 30-17, in the AFC Wild Card game.

Baltimore sacked Ben Roethlisberger five times and kept All-Pro wide receiver Antonio Brown in check. Roethlisberger passed for 334 yards, but the Steelers settled for field goals while the Ravens kept scoring touchdowns.

Next Saturday afternoon, Baltimore will head to New England to face the top-seed Patriots in an AFC Divisional game at 4:30 pm.
