RAW - December 20, 2010 - Austin, TX

From the University of Texas, Raw kicked off the holiday spirit with The Miz's "ghosts" of Christmas past & present in the form of Alex Riley & Michael Cole. Moments later, the Raw GM announced that The Miz would face the "ghosts of Christmas past, present, & future" in a 6-man tag team macth in which he, Riley, & Sheamus would face off against Jerry "The King" Lawler, Randy Orton, & the new #1 contender John Morrison.




Raw continued with a divas #1 contender's triple threat match between Melina , Alicia Fox, & Eve. Divas champion Natalya, who was at ringside with The King, CM Punk , & Michael Cole at commentary, witnessed Melina pull off a hard fought victory. After the match, Natalya went to congratulate Melina on her win and much to everybody's suprise, Melina unleashed a big slap to Natalya's face before leaving the ring. Hopefully, more will come out of this next week on Raw.




With the support of the Bella Twins, United States champion Daniel Bryan faced ring veteran William Regal. The match was back and forth, but Bryan was able to make Regal tap out to the Labelle Lock. Afterwards, the Bellas gave Bryan deep kisses that I'm sure he'll remember for a long time.




In a mixed tag team match, Santino Marella & Tamina went up against Ted DiBiase & Maryse. Despite the sore back he suffered at TLC & with the support of his love interest Tamina, Santino was able to continue on with the match. But it was Tamina who scored the victory with the famous "Superfly" splash.




Proud of his accomplishments at TLC, John Cena announced he was ready for the Royal Rumble until Vickie Guerrero & Dolph Ziggler tried to spoil the show. But that didn't stop John Cena or Jerry Lawler for making fun of Vickie. Later, it was announced that Cena & Ziggler would go 1-on-1 and after some close calls, Cena finished off Ziggler with the attitude adjustment. To the suprise of everybody, CM Punk got up from the announce table and attacked Cena with a chair. He later stated that since Cena loves violence, it was time he got a taste of his own medicine. Could we be seeing the in-ring return of the straight edge superstar soon? Afterwards, Vickie announced that on SmackDown, Cena would be in a handicap match with Ziggler & herself!




The six-man tag team match could've gone both ways, but after Randy Orton snuck up on The Miz deliver the RKO, Jerry Lawler took advantage & made the pin. After the match, the Raw GM announced that on SmackDown, Randy Orton would go 1-on-1 with the WWE Champion The Miz.




Tonight, SmackDown will be live on the USA Network at 9 pm ET, followed by an extended edition of Tribute to the Troops on Wednesday at 8 pm ET.

When are we going to have WWE back in Detroit where the real C-Nation is?

Raw will return to the Detroit at the Joe Louis Arena on January 24, 2011.
