Loss to Milwaukee bittersweet for the Titan women
Titans junior guard Lauren Allen tied her career-high with 19 points, but the rest of her team just couldn't get the breaks they needed to stop Milwaukee as Detroit lost 65-55. The Titans could not find an answer to Milwaukee's Lindsay Laur, who finished with 17 points & 10 rebounds, and Angela Rodriguez, who scored all of her 15 points in the 1st half with 3-pointers. The only bright side for Detroit is that, with Loyola losing to Cleveland State, they secured an extra home game for the 1st round of the Horizon League Tournament on Monday, March 7th.
Up next for the Titans (12-16, 6-11 HL) is the challenge of giving the 12th ranked Green Bay Phoenix (28-1, 17-0 HL) their first loss in the Horizon League. Detroit's last game of the regular season will take place at Calihan Hall this Saturday at 2 pm before they begin tournament play on Monday.
