After losing Game 1, Tigers split DH with 9-2 win over Indians
After losing 7-2 in Game 1, J.D. Martinez drove in three runs as the Detroit Tigers scored four times in the 4th inning to defeat the Cleveland Indians, 9-2, thus spliting a doubleheader.
Martinez went 3-for-5 and Rajai Davis & Dixon Machado each drove in two runs for Detroit, who have now lost 16 of their last 21 games.
Before the NFL's Lions head to Minnesota next week, the Tigers will do the same this Monday night to play in a three-game series with the Twins. The first game is set to begin at 8 pm.
