In bizarre fashion, Lions earn 1st win vs. Chicago in OT, 37-34 Chicago-bears-v-detroit-lions-20151018-174937-820

Matthew Stafford threw one of four touchdown passes to Calvin Johnson, one being a 57-yard play that set up Matt Prater's 27-yard field goal with 2:29 left in overtime to help the Detroit Lions defeat the Chicago Bears, 37-34, for their first win of the 2015 season.

The game had everything going in all kinds of direction: turnovers, penalties, replay booth reviews, questionable timing of plays being called, calls being reversed (with & without replays)....and that was all before the near-full extent of overtime.

Stafford finished 27-of-42 for a season-high 405 yards & an interception while Johnson had six receptions for 166 yards -- doubling his season high -- and scored for the first time since Week 2. It was his 45th career game with at least 100 yards receiving, breaking a 4th-place tie with Hall of Famer Jerry Rice.

The Lions (1-5) will remain home at Ford Field next Sunday when they host their division foe Minnesota Vikings at 1 pm.
