Pistons start off new season with big road win vs. Atlanta, 106-94
The Detroit Pistons dominated on rebounds as they kept Atlanta's offensive to a minimal in defeating the Hawks, 106-94, on opening night.
Kentavious Caldwell-Pope scored 21 points to lead all five Detroit starters in double figures while Andre Drummond finished with 18 points & 19 rebounds. The Hawks fell behind by as many as 19 and couldn't rally even when the Pistons missed 20 of their final 22 shots from the field. Marcus Morris also had a double-double with 18 points & 10 rebounds, Ersan Ilyasova chipped in with 16 points, and Reggie Jackson added in 15 points.
Detroit will come back to the Palace of Auburn Hills to host their home opener this Wednesday night against the Utah Jazz at 7:30 pm.
