Rally cut short as Central Michigan falls to Toledo, 28-23
Phillip Ely threw for 322 yards & two touchdowns and Kareem Hunt ran for 118 yards & two TDs as the Toledo Rockets defeated the Central Michigan Chippewas, 28-23, for their sixth straight victory in the series.
CMU quarterback Cooper Rush was 33-of-52 passing with two touchdowns and one interception. Central was down 21-10 at halftime.
The Chippewas (5-5, 4-2 MAC) will be back in action next week when they visit Kent State University to take on the Golden Flashes on Wednesday, November 18 at 8 pm.
