Joe Pavelski scored his ninth goal of the season and goalie Martin Jones made 26 saves as the San Jose Sharks defeated the Detroit Red Wings, 3-2.
Tomas Tatar and Teemu Pulkkinen scored for Detroit and goaltender Jimmy Howard finished the night with just 11 saves.
The Red Wings will have less than 24 hours to rest as they travel to Boston this Saturday night to play the Bruins at 7 pm.
