Prater & defense guide Lions to victory over Raiders, 18-13
Matthew Stafford ran for a go-ahead 5-yard touchdown early in the 4th quarter as the Detroit Lions held on for the remainder of the game to defeat the Oakland Raiders at Ford Field, 18-13.
The Lions (3-7) have won consecutive games for the first time this year, and improved to 3-0 when running the ball at least 20 times. Matt Prater made three field goals, all in the 1st half, from 29, 41, & 51 yards and Detroit's defense held Oakland to season lows in yards (214), yards rushing (50), yards passing (164), & first downs (13).
After resting for three days, the Lions will host their annual Thanksgiving Day game at Ford Field against the Philadelphia Eagles. Game time is set for 12:30 pm.
