Red Wings score early to secure 5-1 victory over Coyotes
Niklas Kronwall and Gustav Nyquist scored 18 seconds apart in the 1st period as the Detroit Red Wings defeated the Arizona Coyotes, 5-1.
Justin Abdelkader, Danny DeKeyser, and Darren Helm also scored for Detroit, who played five straight overtime games before opening a 3-0 lead in the 1st period to shut down the Coyotes.
The last home game for the Red Wings this week will be against Nashville this Saturday night at 7 pm.
