Road trip off to rough start as Red Wings fall to Islanders, 4-1
Brock Nelson had a goal & an assist as part of a three-goal 2nd period to help the New York Islanders defeat the Detroit Red Wings, 4-1.
Pavel Datsyuk scored the lone goal and goaltender Jimmy Howard finished with 28 saves while falling to 0-5-3 in his last nine starts for Detroit.
The Red Wings' next stop will be in Pittsburgh to face the Penguins this Thursday night at 7 pm.
