Big South women begin play on Friday

On Friday, March 11th, the women of the Big South Conference will start the last tournament of the year before the teams are announced for the NCAA tournament on Sunday (men) & Monday (women). In addition, Central Michigan & Eastern Michigan will compete in seperate games in the semifinals of the women's MAC tournament. Plus, Michigan will face Illinois in the quarterfinals of the men's Big Ten Tournament while Michigan State hopes to play Friday after their 1st round game on Thursay against Iowa. Also on Friday, two more conference champions, from the Patriot League (men) & the Southland Conference (women), will be crowned and entered into the Big Dance.




BIG SOUTH WOMEN'S TOURNAMENT - FIRST ROUND

#1 Liberty vs. #8 Coastl Carolina
#4 High Point vs. #5 Charleston Southern
#2 Radford vs. #7 Winthrop
#3 Gardner-Webb vs. #6 UNC-Asheville

The semifinals will be on Saturday, followed by the championship on Sunday. The Big South tournament will take place on the campus of High Point University.
