Tigers' 8-game winning streak snapped by White Sox, 6-3
Jose Abreu and Avisail Garcia homered in a five-run 2nd inning asthe Chicago White Sox snapped Detroit's eight-game winning streak with a 6-3 victory over the Tigers.
Miguel Cabrera and Ian Kinsler homered, but even after winning eight of their last nine games, Detroit fell to three games behind AL Central-leading Cleveland.
The Tigers will look to shake off the loss as they head into the weekend with a three-game interleague series with the New York Mets. The first game is set to begin this Friday night inside Comerica Park.
