Eastern women fall short in MAC title, 51-46

Just a few more points, and the Eastern Michigan Eagles would've been only the 2nd Michigan-based team to officially be in the Big Dance. But it was not meant to me as the Eagles lose a tough one to Bowling Green in the MAC championship, 51-46. Tavelyn James led EMU with 19 points, but the Eagles' poor shooting in the 2nd half doomed them. Despite being the first-ever #5 seed team to make it to the MAC title, they now have a record of 22-12. There may be a chance the NCAA will take them to join the Big Dance & compete for the title national title. We will all find out Monday evening when the selection show begins at 7 pm. On the men's side, the bracket announcement will be made Sunday evening at 6 pm ET.
