Mikael Backlund scored the tiebreaking goal with 7:46 left in the 3rd period to give the Calgary Flames a 3-2 victory over the Detroit Red Wings.
Tomas Tatar and Anthony Mantha scored for Detroit, who lost their fourth straight game. Goaltender Jimmy Howard finished with 23 saves.
Looking to break their losing streak, the Red Wings will head to Buffalo to take on the Sabres this Wednesday night at 7 pm.
