Pistons end 2016-17 season with a loss at Orlando, 113-109
With the help of Elfrid Payton making three consecutive baskets in the final 1:12, the Orlando Magic pulled away to defeat the Detroit Pistons, 113-109, in the last game of the 2016-17 season.
Starters Kentavious Caldwell-Pope and Ish Smith led Detroit with 20 points each, who suffered a loss in the final game at the Palace of Auburn Hills a couple of nights ago.
Without playoffs to think about, all the Pistons can do now is get ready for the NBA Draft in June, hopefully sign some key free agents in the summer, and settle into their new home in the Motor City at the Little Caesars Arena next season.
