Penguins & Ducks win Game 7 to reach conference finals
Goaltender Marc-Andre Fleury stopped all 29 shots to help the Pittsburgh Penguins shutout the Washington Capitals on the road, 2-0, in Game 7 of the Eastern Conference semifinals. The Penguins will now return home to host the Ottawa Senators in the East Finals.
In his first year in the playoffs, Nick Ritchie scored the tiebreaker and goaltender John Gibson made 23 saves as the Anaheim Ducks ended their streak of five straight Game 7 losses with a 2-1 victory over the Edmonton Oilers to advance to the Western Conference Finals for the second time in three years. The Ducks will remain home to host Nashville in the West Finals this weekend.
